Students will learn to dress a male doll to look like Willy Wonka. You will also learn to create his wig and hat. Students will receive an assembled doll, pattern and material for the doll, viscose for wig, and suede paper for the hat.
Tools to bring: Sharp scissors for paper and fabric, straight pins, Aleene's original tacky glue (Gold Bottle).

Class #4 - Faux Leather Luggage Ensemble by Ginger Landon-Siegel

Create this accented set of black luggage using prepared pieces of faux leather. The set includes
the wood trunk, with black and white lining, two non-opening hat boxes, a pet carrier, black and
white lined tote bag and a travel journal. All pieces are accented with black and white designs
with gold detailing.
Students will learn a unique process to create faux leather to look and feel like thin leather,
which can be made in any color. Students will also learn how to alter found objects to make the
two sizes of hat boxes. Everything shown in the pictures is included as well as the travel themed luggage tags to
complete the overall effect.
Tools/Supplies needed: X-acto knife with new #11 blade, metal ruler, cutting mat, paint brush, tweezers, fine point scissors, curved scissors, mechanical pencil and tacky glue.

Create these 5 elaborately trimmed hats displayed on a faux marble table. Students will create 3
picture hats and 2 fascinators using an assortment of laces and trims. Students will learn techniques to separate and alter laces to dress the 5 hats. How to use found objects for the hat bases and a marbling technique. Everything shown in the pictures is included.
Tools to bring: Tacky glue, tweezers, fabric scissors, and paint brush.

Construct an exquisitely detailed 1:12 scale upright piano. This instrument is based on a period
Chickering piano like the one seen in The Music Man. A piano in the parlor is reminiscent of the
time when making music together was a major source of family entertainment. The cast brass pedals and raised black keys add to the appeal.
Students will learn fabric binding, metal marking, wood finishing, precision painting, joining,
and hinging.
Tools/Supplies needed: X-acto with new blade, 20/0 Round or Spotter artist detail brush.

can accommodate it to a castle, attic, flea market, man's cave, or just lilled with your "homeless" treasures! Students will learn the secret to Rainbow Hand's papercraft and woodcraft as they glue the pieces of the trunk together to create a miniature masterpiece.
Included in this kit is a prepared paper box, cut wooded slates, hinges, paper clip, imitation metal
bindings, adornments and stampings to choose from... Medieval Furniture and Accessories will be available for purchase.

Learn how to dress and wig a 1/2" or 1" porcelain doll. Then you will create and decorate a trunk
for her and all her belongings.
The kit contains a porcelain doll and all the fabric and lace to dress her. There are several choices of hair color. All the materials to complete and decorate the trunk are included, as are the
accessories for the inside.

Learn how to build a shadow box scene. You will get to choose to make it either Halloween or Christmas themed. A variety of wallpapers will be available. A shadow box and furniture kits will be provided, plus some accessories. The instructor will bring all tools necessary: Glue, paints, paper, scissors, tweezers, etc.
Extra kits and accessories to go in the room box will be available. Students may choose to buy the other
kit they don't make in class.

Class #13 - Dragon's Treasure by Ruth Stewart

Come and join me for a day of fun making Dragon's Treasure Cake. The cake tells the story of a
mother dragon who is protecting her dragon egg and her cake filled with gold, crystals, and lava. This 8-layer
cake with gold frosting features a crystal lighted cave with gold and lava. Both the lava cave and dragon egg
are lit with colored LEDs. The cake sits on a beautiful intricately laser cut base full of Celtic knots.
Learn to make and paint a realistic rock wall, learn to use colored LEDs, paint the dragon using
metallic paints, and learn about using UV cure resin in class. Everything is provided in the kit except your basic
tool kit.
Tools/Supplies needed: Students can bring their own tweezers, X-Acto blade, lighting if needed,
and paint brushes.
